A toolkit for the Latrobe and broader Gippsland community

The Net Zero Economy Authority (NZEA) has developed a communications toolkit to help enhance visibility and build understanding around the energy transformation underway in the Latrobe and broader Gippsland region.

The Latrobe and boarder Gippsland region is one of the NZEA’s priority regions. It is also a region where the energy transformation requires a coordinated effort to support new opportunities and new investment.

A resource for the community

The Communications Toolkit (the Toolkit) is a digital resource developed for the Latrobe-Gippsland community. It is a guide for communicating the energy transformation in action and highlighting opportunities for the future of the region, including emerging industries for future careers.

The region is facing an economic transformation that goes beyond power station closures, with uncertainty around jobs, investment and economic opportunities. The transformation to renewable energy offers pathways for economic benefits and future jobs, but more information is needed.

The Toolkit seeks to bridge the information gap between the transformation underway, what is happening in the region and future opportunities. It brings together resources that exist for local job seekers, case studies of community members who are enacting change, and examples of emerging industries and projects.

How to use the Toolkit

The Toolkit has a range of downloadable and printable resources including infographics, social media posts and case studies. The resources can help provide community groups, students and workers with information to build their understanding about the energy transformation or to share with others.
