Employee arrangements
All of our employees are currently employed by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C). This will change in mid-2025 when all employees will transfer under a Machinery of Government instrument to become employees of the Net Zero Economy Authority.
When this transfer is complete, we will engage our employees under the Public Service Act 1999.
Currently, as part of PM&C, non-SES APS employees are covered by the employment conditions under the PM&C Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027. Following the Machinery of Government transition, the PM&C Enterprise agreement will continue until the nominal expiry date of 28 February 2027.

Graduate Program
Applications for the Australian Government Graduate Programs are closed and will open again in March 2026.
The Australian Government Graduate Programs offer graduates job opportunities across multiple disciplines. Applying to one of these streams means you only have to go through the application and selection process once to be considered for a range of Australian Government agencies and departments.
