Tarong West Wind Project

The 437MW Tarong West Wind Project is backed by the Queensland Government with a funding commitment of $776.1 million. The project will create around 200 construction jobs and 15 operational jobs.

The project provided housing for the 200-270 people needed during construction and would not reduce accommodation options for locals.

The project is currently under EPBC Assessment and expect to commence construction in September 2025 and commercial operations in 2027.
