Mount Hopeful Wind Farm

State owned Stanwell Corporation have signed a 15-year PPA for 215 MW of energy from Mount Hopeful Wind Farm located in Central Queensland. The project will create approximately 220 construction jobs, with up to 12 ongoing operational and maintenance roles.

  • Location: Near the towns of Mount Morgan and Bajool, approximately: 50km south of Rockhampton, 60km north of Biloela; and 70km west of Gladstone
  • Capacity: Up to 63 wind turbines with final project capacity expected to be around 400 MW (around 60 wind turbines)
