Central Queensland Supply Chain Mapping Project
If your business is active in renewable energy or decarbonising heavy industry, and you operate in the Central Queensland region, you’re invited to register for our Supply Chain Mapping Project. This work is being undertaken by the Net Zero Economy Authority, in partnership with Acclimate Partners.
The Supply Chain Mapping project (Mapping Project) will profile local Central Queensland businesses that can support renewable energy and heavy industry decarbonisation projects in the region.
This project has been developed in consultation with local stakeholders including the Gladstone Region Industry Connective (GRIC) and will compliment, not duplicate existing research. Profiling local businesses gives developers and investors up-to-date data on businesses so they can connect early with capable local suppliers.
Showcasing local business
Other projects that may source suppliers from the mapping include:
- onshore wind
- utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), including hybrid solar-BESS projects
- bioenergy, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF)
- Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) capabilities and how they translate to renewable industries
- decarbonisation of heavy industry, covering alumina, aluminium, cement, ammonia, magnesia, and other safeguard facilities.
Who we're engaging
To compile the map, we’re looking for any business in the region with a role to play in decarbonisation. This includes:
- engineering and fabrication businesses
- trades and construction services
- logistics and transport providers
- professional services
- indigenous-owned businesses
- any business interested in taking part in energy and industrial projects.
