AGL Energy Hub / Hunter Energy Hub
The proposed AGL Energy Hub (or Hunter Energy Hub) will bring together industries that can make a positive contribution to the energy transition such as renewable energy generation and grid-scale batteries. The hub is currently in the planning stage and AGL are progressing feasibility studies with partners across solar panel manufacturing, solar panel recycling and battery recycling.
The Hunter Energy Hub will support a circular economy approach in the region, utilising waste to support new production for industries in the region. The Hub will have access to the Newcastle Port and associated global market opportunities.
